Daniel McClure

Daniel McClure is a 7th generation Oklahoma who is committed to making a difference. Growing up in a home that opened its doors to children in the foster system, Daniel saw firsthand the heartbreak of broken families and tough circumstances. Those early experiences forged in him a deep passion to fight for strong families, personal responsibility, and the God-given opportunities that only conservative principles can protect.

Academic Success

Daniel was a class Valedictorian in High School. He served as Student Body President at Rose State College, then became the Statewide President of Oklahoma Student Government Association representing all Oklahoma College and University Student Governments while at the University of Central Oklahoma. Daniel earned his Master's in Public Administration / Public Policy from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. He was a distinguished Hatton Sumner's Scholar earning his law degree in 2018 from Oklahoma City University School of Law, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to defend Oklahoma values in any arena.

Local Government Expert

For nearly eight years (2015-2023), Daniel worked in legal and governmental affairs with state and local leaders across Oklahoma. He worked to craft and pass numerous conservative priorities including creating options to require drug rehab on repeat drug offenses, advancing pro-firearm legislation, and negotiating several pro-transparency bills strengthening the Open Meetings and Open Records laws. Daniel became one of the state's true experts on local government, fiscal responsibility, and protecting local control from overreaching state and federal bureaucrats.

Mayor of McLoud

Daniel is currently in his second term as the Mayor of McLoud. He's delivered real conservative results, including:

• Stood strong against radical environmental overreach by banning "humanure" (yes, that's exactly what it sounds like) and protecting public health and common sense as one of the first cities to implement this ban in Oklahoma.
• Lead the City in obtaining nearly 2 million dollars in grants without raising taxes– no hikes, no new burdens on working families.
• Prioritized public safety by fully equipping the Police Department and supporting McLoud's police department efforts in becoming the City's first certified department through the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Accreditation Program, proving conservative leadership gets results without big government spending.
• Stood tall for the Second Amendment, passing the first municipal employee carry ordinance in the State of Oklahoma.
